Why are Indian cricketers taking the knee?

What was the whole 'taking the knee' show about at the Indo-Pak T20 cricket match in Dubai? Apparently, it was for 'Black Lives Matter'. Kya nautanki hai, yaar? It was awkward as hell. Begaani shaadi mein Abdullah deewana.

Just. Cringe. Especially, as my friend, Karthik says, Abdullah ke ghar pe anek shaadiyan chal rahi hain. They could choose from a literal smorgasbord of issues at home. Farmer protests, Dalit atrocities, minority rights, religious riots, faith-based politics, extra-judicial killings, corruption, the entire buffet table for choice.

But, they thought virtue signalling to the western media (why?) is a better use of their celebrity status. Or are they just wannabes that want to ape their western counterparts because of the inherent inferiority complex because they are, the irony of ironies, not white? Sigh!
