The muddied waters of the Aryan Khan drugs case.

I am sure that all is not how it looks in the Aryan Khan drugs case. However, whether Sameer Wankhede is Hindu or Muslim or SC or has married once or twice is completely immaterial to it.

Why is the MVA government further muddying the waters already muddied by every person concerned? The national Spokesman for the NCP and the current MH state Minority Development, Auqaf, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister's campaign against this officer seems just as much motivated by something other than the pursuit of truth as does the NCB's (standing in for the ruling party) against SRK. Perhaps it is time for the CM, Uddhav Thackeray to intervene and ask his minister to cool it. Or perhaps, Sharad Pawar can do the honours of asking his spokesman to step back and dial down on the rhetoric.

I mean, he has made some valid points about the case, its witnesses (and this is borne out by the witness himself coming out with a statement supporting much of it), the conduct of the raid, the questionable motivation for such entrapment, and the targeting of a specific individual. But this is all going down the drain as he ratchets it up with completely irrelevant allegations which, even if were to be proven true, have no bearing on the case whatsoever.

Sane people observing the goings-on can see the whole thing inevitably going into a shit slinging match. In short, this is getting embarrassing. It has got to stop.
