Alice and friends.

A friend of mine, Ajay Pareek, from Ajmer, decided to send us some shirts. Just like that! We received one for me, one for Tashuji, and one for little Kym.

Kymaia's tops (there are two of them) are a bit large for her and should fit her in a few months' time. On the other hand, despite both of us (Tashuji or I) not being the 'block-print-people', the shirt (on me) and the kurta (on Tashuji) looked so good that we decided to make a photo session of it.

Also, today was the day we suddenly found free, with no meetings, video calls, or urgent emails, no delivery deadlines or order processing & packing, and so the entire Bear family has taken an off to be with each other.

It was also a good day to start the family reading of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, illustrated brilliantly by MinaLima (Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima) today. Rashmi Masi's adorable Shih Tzu, Rafa, also joined in the fun.

When we started though, Tashuji and I both expected Baby bear not to get some of the happenings in the first reading, but she surprised us by not only being able to get the broad brushstrokes but also some of the nuances. She attempted to predict what could happen later, and she was suitably impressed with talking rabbits wearing waistcoats and watches. She tried to 'curtesy while falling' and accurately figured out what the 'Drink Me' bottle would do, before we could get to that part.

Then, at one point, she said something rather insightful: 'Mamma, Alice thinks very few things are impossible because I think she is dreaming, and in dreams, nothing is impossible.'

Ah well.
