I wish I was an X-Man.
I have seen the South Indian penchant for naming kids after a celebrity without giving much thought to what it means. I am now told on authority by my friend, Karthik Natarajan, that the initials may or may not mean anything. These initials are assigned at random as per the mood of the naming authority (parents, grandparents, etc) and not actually representative of something that begins with that letter and means something to that person's identity.
The penny drops. I have known a 'KKVRS Yasas N' who claimed the initials meant nothing and we always thought he was pulling a fast one. Now, I know. Be that as it may, I have never met someone with an X. I'd have so loved to be X.Anil or Zaphod X (the latter is Karthik's suggestion). It'd have been cool. And I've always wanted to be an X-Man.
